How to Print a Zine That Doesn’t Fall Apart Two Days Later.

Pimping Printing ain’t easy. But, don’t worry, zines aren’t too hard. Composed at 8.5 x 11 inches, the size of the average home printer paper, each one is readily available for download in ordered and paginated formats.

Ordered PDFs, though primarily for viewing, can be printed normally; page by page. Then stapled together to form an 8.5 x 11 booklet. Additionally, they make digital distribution much easier. They can be saved, edited, re-posted, and duplicated.

Paginated PDFs may look unorganized but they’re configured for saddle-stitched printing. If you don’t mind double-sided printing they can be printed and bound at home. Taking the file to your local print shop, like FedEx Office, is much easier. They’ll give you a few copies for about thirty cents a pamphlet.
